I love a hot chocolate, but never thought of putting peppermint with it, even though I see chocolate bars with peppermint flavor. I should try it!

Mint flavoured hot chocolate – Sounds deliecious. But I wonder: cocoa powder can't be raw, because the cocoa beans have to be rosted before powder is made.
Do you know how the 'raw cocoa powder' is made? They might use sun-dried cocoa beans, but I doubt it.

I work in a local natural health food store. We have an amazing chocolate shop. Just today I was holding a bag of organic raw cacao powder and thinking about making hot chocolate. Now, with this recipe, it is a must!
    Thanks so much!!

I would pass on the xylitol and be mindful of getting a gluten-free vanilla extract (I’ve seen available) and peppermint extract (I have not seen this, does not mean it’s not available). The alcohol that the extracts are based in can have gluten, fyi….
That said ; ) I loooove coconut milk hot chocolate sweetened with agave! We used to try to make it with rice milk 🙁 but the coconut milk makes it so nice and thick and you can really get it whipped up with a drink blender. (All this, and it’s 80 degrees out now!)
