Melissa Costello, founder of Karma Chow has always had a passion for healthy, delicious food and nutrition. As a child, Melissa would spend hours in the kitchen with her Italian father making homemade tomato sauce and pasta. When she became a vegetarian at age 19 she began experimenting with healthier versions of everyday recipes, which led her to her passion for vegetarian cooking. Her collection of simple yet delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes and desserts, has become popular among many top names in the film & music industry.
As a Nutritional Educator and Wellness Coach (NHI & Spencer Institute), Melissa works one on one with clients teaching them how to live a happier, healthier life through a plant-based, whole foods diet. She is the creator of The Vital Life 30-Day Food Based Cleanse, which has become popular among celebs in Hollywood as well as hundreds worldwide.
Being personal chef to celebrity fitness guru and P90X creator , Tony Horton, Melissa is constantly finding creative ways to keep Tony and her other clients happy, fit and healthy through a delicious and satisfying meals.
Melissa has been featured on TV Guide's, "Secrets of the Hollywood Body" and is currently the host for Beachbody's newest product, The Ultimate Reset Cleanse. She is also the co-host of the online cooking and yoga series, Food & Flow produced through YogaMint. She teaches cooking classes at local Los Angeles Whole Foods store and private homes across the US.
Her mission is to help educate the planet on healthy, whole food eating while working to keep our planet ³green² for generations to come through vegetarianism and eco-conscious solutions. She travels throughout the US with Tony leading nutritional lectures at his fitness camps and is currently creating an online wellness program that will soon be available to the masses!
